Nino Pirtskhalava

Ethnomuiscologist; works at Georgian Folk Music Laboratory of Tbilisi State Conservatoire. Graduated from Tbilisi State Conservatoire in 1979 (Musicology Department, in specialty of folklore), completed post-graduate studies (in specialty of musical aesthetics) in 1983. Studies aesthetic fundamentals of Georgian secular and sacred music in the aspect of medieval Georgian philosophy (Ioane Petritsi); has published a number of articles in scientific collections and journals of the Conservatoire; participates in national and international conferences and symposia.
