In 2018 with the financial support of the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport International Research Centre for Traditional Polyphony of Tbilisi State Conservatoire published the book “Kist Traditional Music” (in Georgia, Kist and English)
The goal of the publication is to highlight original music in danger of being lost and make those unique works still not recorded and released available the public at large. It also aims to assist in popularizing the music – living musical genres directly connected to everyday life – in Georgia and beyond borders.
The materials published here were collected during a fieldwork expedition carried out in the Pankisi gorge in 2013 by members of the IRCTP of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire.
Compilers: Nino Razmadze, Ketavan Baiashvili
Editors: Rusudan Tsurtsumia, Meka Khangoshvili
The publication was non-profit and it is available in electronic form.
